The Omnivore's Hundred
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results.
NB They don't have formatting options for the very useful "I can't remember" or "what the fuck is that" so I will have to annotate as we go.
The VGT Omnivore’s Hundred:
1. Venison
2. Nettle tea - I can't remember. Already.
3. Huevos rancheros - Also. And we're only three in. This is going badly. Can everyone else remember every unremarkable thing they ever ate?
4. Steak tartare
5. Crocodile
7. Cheese fondue
8. Carp - as I recall, a bit of a waste of time. Lots of little bones.
9. Borscht
10. Baba ghanoush

12. Pho
13. PB&J sandwich - Americans: boy are you ever wrong about these.
14. Aloo gobi

I haven't even heard of most of these food stuffs, so feel extremely uncultured after reading this list. A bit like the book list.
So now I'm planning a revenge post on my blog - audio control surfaces you have considered purchasing!
As someone who lives a 50-minute walk from the province of Québec -- poutine is so over-rated. Certainly not worth the fat content and calorie count. I really think you have to grow up with it. Elder daughter loves it, case in point.
And haggis isn't bad. If you like sausage, you won't mind haggis.
Ha! That's my mates Andrew and Jill's blog (and Andrew's list). Good to see it taking on a life of its own, though Andrew's getting a little bit freaked by how far it's gone.
(My employers have blocked access to my blog, so I can't use the usual sign-in. Are they gits or what?)
You're so wrong about oysters.
Perhaps, Oliver, you are wrong about snot?
