Dr Whooo -oo! Dr Who. Dr Whooo -oo! Dr Who! (to the tune of Rock and Roll, if you hadn't guessed).
Ok. So Aliens were crap. Officially the most crap since the Absorbalof according to my nine year old. Then she pointed out the Absorbalof was designed by a nine year old. Whose to blame for the adipose babies?
Still.
Sarah Lancaster as Super Nanny. I like. Donna and Doctor missing each other I like. Bernard Cribbins. Oh nice touch. And she DOESN'T fancy him hurrah!!! Plus genuine surprise of Rose at the end...
I reckon she's a ghost from other universe Torchwood's Time Rift. And that's how she's coming through. And that's why Torchwood this season has been banging on about ghosts. You really should watch it you know.
(Will probably be wrong about that, I usually am.)
So. Happy. Usually we have to wait until Sunday morning for some blessed illegal poster to deliver us, but we were able to watch DW after dinner here in Ottawa.
My husband has been following Torchwood this year(I rather gave up after the first season), and remarked how in comparison, a DW episode seems to fly by. It's just that much better written. I'm surprised how the little moments are what remain with me: the Doctor speaking out loud before realizing he's in an empty Tardis, and the priceless sign language exchange when the Doctor and Donna finally connect.
April really is the cruellest month in Ottawa and this is such a balm...

Haha it was fully Christopher Eccleston-series-esque. I quite like that :P I mean, it was rubbish, but I like that.
