Helen made the following excellent observation in the comments of my Who review:
"Did you notice the speaker phone thingy? Will this TARDIS have a voice?"
No I did not notice the speaker phone! And am immediately intrigued. If the Tardis had a voice, whose voice should it be? Brian Blessed? Jane Horrocks? David Mitchell? Anyone but Stephen Fry, please, whose voice is marvelous, but ubiquitous.
I open the floor to your suggestions...

Rowan Atkinson would be hugely entertaining.
Well, if it were a male voice, I'd go for Michael York for dark-brown sheer loveliness of tone. But given how the Doctor feels about the TARDIS, surely a beautiful and temperamental female voice is required. Hmmn. Felicity Kendal?
The TARDIS is female (or generally considered as such these days). I'd say Sophia Myles. Tee hee.
In keeping with Rob's suggestion, but slightly less mischievous: Claire Bloom.
Or Vanessa Redgrave. If they can't have her playing a Time Lord.
Well, I suppose if it can't be me (Come on Mr Moffat, PLEASE I've been doing telephone voice messages for a bank all week) I'd like to nominate Glynis Barber. Scifi pedigree (Blake's 7) and I loved her in Dempsey and Makepeace...
My vote is for Daffyd Thomas from Little Britain. Completely unexpected, plus a comic touch.
That voice from Speak & Spell.
Tim Curry or Emma Thompson. Any voice different from K9 who still haunts kids TV on the Sarah Jane Adventures...
Anyone else think if the Tardis is female she'd have to have some kind of Dominatrix relationship with the Doctor? So maybe ... Judy Dench, who's terribly flirtatious with Daniel Craig.
Judi Dench
Not David Mitchell - he's far too overexposed already.

For pure nerd value, I'll point out that back during the Colin Baker era, it was established that the Doctor and the TARDIS have a symbiosis together (right down to the Doctor having a 'symbiotic nuclei' in every cell that links them).
And people wonder why the ratings started to plummet in the 80s?
So again, Sophia Myles. Tee hee.
